FAQ
LOCATION
The main event is at Washington Hall in Seattle's Central District. The address is 153 14th Ave. Doors open at 3:30pm and the event goes until 11pm. The venue is ADA accessible.
There is some street parking available in the neighborhood, but consider carpooling, taking a bus (like the 3, 4, 7, 27, 36, and even the First Hill Streetcar), or a rideshare.
WORKSHOPS
Workshops will take place at Pipsqueak Community Space from 1:00pm to 3:30pm. Pipsqueak is located a couple blocks away from Washington Hall at 173 16th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122.
ACCESSIBILITY
There is an ADA accessible elevator on the north side of Washington Hall adjacent to the parking lot. If you’re using the elevator, please call or text 206-851-5194 when you arrive. There will be folding chairs provided. KN95 masks are recommended, but not required for this event.
WHAT TO BRING
- Cash/Cards – We will have soup, tea, and merch for sale. We accept cash and cards.
- Camping chairs, blankets, pillows, or seating that would help you feel comfortable.
- A refillable water bottle - we will have bottled water available in limited quantities.
TICKETS
If you have already bought a ticket, we’ll ask you for your name or the name of the person that bought your ticket at the door.
A limited number of tickets will be available at the door for $50. Come early to avoid missing out.
Re-entry is allowed. This event is all ages.
FOOD AND DRINK
We will be selling light snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and tea. This event is all ages and we will not be serving alcohol. There are many restaurants within walking distance of Washington Hall for dinner. Here are some of them:
- Saigon Vietnam Deli, 1200 S Jackson St # 7 (8 minute walk)
- The Boat, 1314 S Jackson St (6 minute walk)
- Chu Minh Tofu and Vegan Deli, 1043 S Jackson St (10 minute walk)
- Carmelo’s Tacos, 1223 E Cherry St (11 minute walk)
- Soulful Dishes, 1800 E Yesler Way (9 minute walk)
- Phnom Penh Noodle House, 913 S Jackson St (12 minute walk)
You can also bring back your own food, just try not to make a mess.
MERCH
We will be selling Ground Hum t-shirts designed by KEMC and custom embroidered balaclavas designed by Fish Encyclopedia. T-shirts are $35 and balaclavas are $45. We will also have a limited edition cassette tape of Sketch Artist’s performance from Ground Hum Sessions for $10. Some Ground Hum artists will also have merch for sale.
Safer Space Policy
GROUND HUM will not tolerate racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, body-shaming, misogyny, ableism, or disrespect of the rules of consent. There will be an organizer at the door and by the food station if you need to report someone who is making you or others feel unsafe or if you see someone who may be in need of help.
GROUND HUM is organized by Hans Anderson, Bobby Azarbayejani, Phil Kampf, Cameron Kelley, Madi Levine, Alex Markey, Simone Pierson, Gia Valente, Kayla Waldorf, and Maxwell Washburn. GROUND HUM is an event thrown by Time Outside of Time LLC.
